Good deal! When you are ready to reinstall, I'll have to bring my ATV jack over to make it easier...

I got your PM, beer this week would be nice.... I have to take care of some things tomorrow, but I will call in the afternoon and see if there is anything I can help with during the week.

I am seeing the exhaust manifolds take all the weight of the engine? Is it ok that way?
Do you really have to take the bumper off the get the engine out?
Can you tell me how long does it take, total time, counting from the first thing you touch to the engine completely out?
Look like you guys were having fun.

I can't believe that you were willing to deal with that paver stone driveway to do this job.

Wait... you have a 4 post lift, yet you chose not to use it for your engine drop???
I would have thought the pros outweighted the cons...
Can you explain your choice? Thanks!

The lift only has an opening of 31 inches between the wheels and you need, I believe 39, so we had to do it off the lift.
We removed everything first while the car was on the lift which sure made life easier. Michael also has a compressor and torque wrench that came in handy

Thanks guys, You are right, I cheapped out and didn't go for the ATV lift and paid the price!! I bought a elevating table that will hopefully make the install much easier! I am ordering some "while I'm in there" parts from our host right now and since it looks like we are going to have rain this weekend I was thinking of maybe doing the install in a couple of weeks. I'll let you guys know when it's ready. I'm thinking of getting ribs (mmmm, Mr. Cecil's) to persuade folks to help with this job!

Take care,
Michael
