Lock cylinder seals
I took my 71 door handles to a local locksmith to key them to match my ignition. When he took the cylinder out there was residue from a disintegrated seal in the first one. The second you could tell it was some kind of rubber almost. Where can I get new ones?
Also, he didn't have any wafers to fit the Porsche lock cylinder so he removed the ones that wouldn't work with my key. Where can a I buy correct wafers? |

I'm not sure. He said the the large reliefs in my key meant he needed some bigger numbers. Not all my wafers had numbers. 3 was the highest marking and he found one that he said was a 4 but was unmarked. How high do they go? I may need as many as 12. Seems like he had to remove 5 or 6 of 11 on each cylinder.

Also, the brass looking piece that turns with the key to actuate the lock on the drivers side (marked with an 'L') is worn at it's base so that the return spring under-rides. Are these pieces available? I can post a pic if that isn't clear.
