North Hollywood Speedometer repair

Thank you to the several People that suggested them. They did "Exactly" what I needed to have done and got it back to me in less than 10 days. Total COst $165.00 including a new Glass, Odometer Drive, Reset the Odometer to the correct miles, Calibrate and clean! Now maybe I can see what my "Actual" MPG is on that car in the winter Time! (Without the New Glass ($140.00)

I tried the place in Florida that the guy in Virginia suggested, but it was hard to communicate with them when they never returned the message I sent them on their web site and only replied once to an e-mail. My thinking is if i am having trouble When they are trying to GET my Business, What am I going to go through after they have my speedometer??

If anyone needs their Speedometer replaced, Look no farther. Thanks again to the board members that suggested them on my second thread ever on this web site!

I need this done....

This referral just pushed me over the edge.

Did you keep the 85 mph speedo, or swap it out for a higher mph one? I'm torn, but leaning toward a higher mph one since My '82 is a "driver," and it would be nice to know how fast I'm really going....

Thanks, Mark

Here is what I had NH do for me a couple of years ago. The tach I had recalibrated and refaced so redline is at the 12 o'clock position. I also had the volt gauge option installed. On the speedo, I had it recalibrated and renumbered so 120mph is at the 12 o'clock position. I also had the Casis upshift light removed.

160 MPH and had 20,700 Miles added on! My BMW (1982) has an 85 MPH Joan Claybrook Speedometer but in the case of the 320I you cannot do a lot more!

How stupid was it that you come up to a turn doing 120 and only see 85?? They do good Quick Clean work so you will not be without but a week!

You just forced me to look at my SPeedo TWICE! I did not know what was in the Middle (90 MPH) and could not remember if it was 150 or 160 MPH!

Very neat and clean! Racers want all of the guages to point the same when things are right! I have not seen the tack with the Volt meter! What year does that come from? (Your 1986?) I have always said that a Porsche 911 is a 4 wheel Motorcycle! I "only" have 7 of them starting with a Kawasaki ZX12R, ZRX1100, 250 Ninja (all year 2000 and have a Z1R 1000 (Old AMA Road Race bike), 1984 900 Ninja, KZ650 and KZ440

Did NH supply the faces or did you create them?

Looks good.

Yes from my '86. NH installed the voltmeter and it is a simple plug and play. No additional wiring to hook up.

You just send them your old gauges and tell them what you want. They do the rest.

Rot 911,

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge for the Tach with the voltmeter conversion?

This is some of the work NH did for me a while back. They have always been terrific to work with. I can't remember the cost, but is was quite reasonable.

I would have to go look it up. I think the speedometer and tach together were right around $300, but not positive.
