3.0 SC Engine in to a '73 T?

Out of interest only, I'm guessing a 3.0 SC engine can just *pop* in to a '73.5 (CIS) T, am I right? I think there's a more minimal CIS on the T - well, I can only think of the device, forgot it's name, for the fast idle when cold verse the (much loved by me) hand throttle.
Just out of interest, only, nothing else....
PS. Thought about the 3.2 but wouldn't want to get in to DME etc.

I've heard that's a pretty easy swap.

Randy is correct; it is child's play as far as 911 engine swaps go. It's been done a lot.

I'm in the middle of it right now - not too bad so far, since I managed to get a complete package when I bought the engine.

I look forward to getting the engine in the car SOO much - haven't driven her for more than a year now.. :(

I own a 73.5 T with 2.4 and although recently rebuilt and strong, I would love nothing more then MORE POWER! The only puzzle I see in a retrofit is how you would hook up a thermotime switch connection as the original CIS (73.5) did not have one. The cold start valve works off a connector at the ignition, so where would the thermotime connection go? Can anyone advis of what else would have to be done or changed for a 3.0 liter install, assuming of course that the 3.0 came with a complete CIS package?

Thanks
Bob
