SWB project....advice / ideas
Hi All,
6 months ago I knew nothing of this madness!!!! Now I have a 1976 911 project in full swing and this is now sitting my garage: 1966 912 (8/1965 build) off the road since 1972 rock solid….no rust, I mean really no rust!! Very intact and very original, numbers matching engine and trans. NOS 1968 fenders, NOS engine case (plus original), NOS p&c’s. I feel like a got a great deal….I think I am the third pelican to have it in this condition. To me this is the perfect “blank canvas” so to speak….my first thoughts are SWB hot rod, 911r clone, maybe a 912r, ultimate sleeper??? I am in the planning stages. Thoughts and ideas will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Kevin ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Love projects. Since you have access to two 912 engines, I would try to use one of them with maybe a big bore set up. I for one am a big fan of the R-clone's. White is super cool on a SWB. If it is mostly original I would see if you could put somehting together without doing any irreversible work to it.
Good luck on any direction you take. Phillip
