Fitting a 3.2 exhaust in a longnose
I think I can .... I think i can.... Almost finished my 3.2 install (longnose) project.
I'm absolutely busting! Its a '65 912. Anyway, my latest delema is fitting the exhaust. It doesn't seem to want to fit! The 3.2 exhaust does not clear the two mounting brackets for the rear facia panel. ![]() R ![]() Any help would be realy appreciated. Cheers Last edited by rolls 912; 02-22-2010 at 01:03 PM.. |

Is the muffler too long side to side or sticks to far out from the mount? Another question is do you have the 3.2 muffler as those had indents at the mounting points. A good person to talk to is Ben at M&K. He might know if it will fit and some possible solutions. Or he may have a muffler that will work. MB911 is his user name here on PP.

This probably wont help since you already have the OG 3.2 muffler,
however I just installed a 3.2 in my 72T and decided to go with Bursch full headers and a Dansk 2 in 2 out muffler. Its a great combo and fits perfect with no mods. . ![]()
