removing cam covers - need to drain oil?

I will be pulling the cam covers to update tensioners - do I need to drain the sump or just raise the rear to move the oil forward? 81'SC

When you raise the rear enough to get the muffler off ... there won't be much oil loss.

Have a bucket handy anyway. It's a real mess on the right side when you pop them off. I jacked mine up to do tensioner work (and I already have the oil lines and pressure fed tensioners, just replaced them), and I lost around a quart of oil in the effort.
Nice thing about these cars though. You lose a quart of oil, and it's no biggie. Drive down and put another quart in
