Clutch Release bearing....RIP

Well, with winter coming I guess the 'ol Porsche was just a lil too ancy to hibernate for the winter. A couple days back I heard a squealing sound; thought it was a loose belt. By the end of the day, it turned into a grinding sound I could feel whenever I pushed in the clutch pedal. By the next day it was barely driveable. So I put it in the garage for the winter, but stupid me tried to back it out last weekend to clean the garage and now the pedal has fallen to the floor and it wont disengage w/ the motor running. I am assuming it's the release bearing. I plan to pull it this winter.. I am afraid of what I'll see in there (I think the grinding was the fork on the seized bearing). Anyone ever had this happen to them?

i went through this...i hate that sound.

Sound like your throw out bearing is shot
And your fork will probably be cracked or bent...if not I would still replace it...while you're in there anyways...guide tube will probably be pretty worn too...

If you want to change clutch while you are in there that would be a good idea too...

My bearing went out 30 miles from home. I nursed it home driving without a clutch...every stop light I had to shut the engine off...put into first...wait for the light start the engine and go...WOW what a pain.

use the same techique to get your car back in the garage...

Let me know if you have more ques...
