Do sway bars from an 86-89 fit on my '83 SC?

I am looking for a slightly stiffer sway bar set-up. My first decision is between doing the aftermarket set-up (which I have been researching heavily) or do a stiffer OEM set-up. My car is 18 front and 20 rear I believe ('83 911SC). I notice that the 86-89 cars come with a 21mm front and 22mm rear. I know 3mm front and 2mm rear doesn't sound like a whole lot but there's definitely a siginificant increase in spring rate as the diameter increases even this small amount. That might be just enough for my street/DE car....plus it's a whole lot cheaper.

Any thoughts? 1.)Do they fit and 2.)Is this a wise move?
