since the 76-89 models look like the 74-75, the later 911s are invited as well

The word Targa literally means plate, as in an award plate. Count Florio , of Sicily, promoted a race around the island and created the Targa Florio.

In honor of their victories there, Porsche named a production car Targa. Much like Carrera for its victory in the Carrera Panamericana , and now the Panamera

Pontiac usurped them with their "Le Mans" and Ferrari with the "GTO" But i digress....

The event is open to all makes of cars , as i stated in the first post, as long as they are in the spirit of 1975 and older
