Fuch replicas

Does anyone have experience with replica fuch wheels? Are these wheels worth buying? Are they cast instead of forged? I'm looking for track wheels so they don't need to be perfect, just safe.

Thanks,

Porsche Crest Replica wheels

You don't want replica wheels for track use....the OEM Fuchs wheel is probably one of the strongest, lightweight wheels you can find. If you want to go aftermarket...go with a brand name racing wheel like BBS, Fikse, HRE etc. There not cheap. You can buy a used set of 7 and 9X16's Fuchs for less than $ 1200. Make sure the offsets are the same needed for your car. Big wheel spacers will put a lot of pressure on your bearings, causing premature wear.

Cookie cutters are almost give-aways, so would make an excellent set of track wheels. They are 15 inch, but are light and strong - a bit ugly mind you

Stay away from replicas. Some DEW will not even let you on the track with replicas. The OEM wheels are still the best bang for your buck. Trying to find 7 & 8/9S -especially the 9s can be a challenge. Just be patient - it is worth the wait.

Thanks for the advice. I have a nice set of fuch 7/8's now but am getting frustrated looking for a set for track use. I'll keep looking.

Don, for my track wheels I picked up a set of old BBS with the gold centers. They looked awful so were cheap. I had them powder coated and they look great. The painting was inexpensive so I don't worry about the wear & tear on the track. It was a good solution for me, maybe it will work for you too.

If you go this route, may I suggest solid grey? That would look awesome on your blue beauty.
