Could this be the real deal?!!!!
http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=52452
Scroll down the post-Is Bruce Anderson the latest addition to the Pelican BBS Club? If so, we're in good company. Let's keep it "low profile" so he can enjoy what we love so much: Porsche talk w/o all the B.S. It would be nice have his input here.

One of the moderators should give him Senior Member Status as a courtesy.

I've been on racing BBS's where well-known drivers, team owners and/or other team members participated for awhile - but they all were eventually chased away by the BBS crazies who felt it was their job to dispute everything they posted in a very disrespectful and rude manner. This 911 BBS is one of the most well-behaved (and most informative!) of any BBS I've seen. Let's hope BA will be treated with the respect he deserves. -- Curt

"The Man" has been quite helpful in answering my stupid questions, over time. The latest one appears in this months Pano, which I just got today(low oil pressure).
I think he edited it to make it sound like I had a clue. Nice fella. The 20W50 did the trick, BTW.

Bruce Anderson is a regular contributor on several of the 911 boards and email lists. Always authoritative, accurate, and astute.
I agree with others who think that he should be given an honorary title on our Pelican board. It needs to signify his unique status - something like "Porsche Legend" might be appropriate?

While it could easily be Bruce that posted this, it could also easily be someone from smartracing.net doing a bit of guerilla marketing. Not sure if this BB allows members to check IP addresses, but it might be interesting.

My money would go with guessing that it NOT the "real" Bruce Anderson. Sounds like way too much of a marketing pitch, and why would that ONE be his only post?
The linking to his site was a nice touch, though. Just my guess. Can't someone, through this system, send an e-mail to the "Bruce Anderson" poster? Would be interesting to see where it goes and what comes back in response. It would be great if it were him, though, with pros like John Walker and Roland already on board, Anderson would complete the Trifecta! |

Mr. Anderson, as someone posted before me, does contribute to the Rennlist and probably other Porsche boards.
He emailed me wanting to know about my MM story and I referred him to my post here. Welcome Mr. Anderson, and we look forward to your input, suggestions and advice based upon your many years of hands-on experience. Happy Holidays! Regards, Kurt |

As stated BA does contribute to but mostly watches the Rennlist email list. I have received and exchanged emails from him several times on varying subjects. That post and signature is in character with my experiences. I have noticed him change a stance before due to new info or changed circumstances. I am betting that it is valid and true and not a bit of marketing propaganda.
I doubt Smart Racing with their current rep needs to pull something that audacious and dishonest which could potentially really damage a good rep. He seems to pop up unexpectedly from time to time which I always enjoy. His emails often have the effect on me that they seem to have on many of us.
