I recommend Bob Farmer of Farmer's Automotive or Euro Motorwerks in Carmel.
Some have a hard time dealing with Bob's personality, but he's the best around for the price. Look here for more info: Indianapolis Area Mechanic

Farmer's has advertised in the classifieds from time to time, selling P-cars. Never saw any complaints there (but wasn't looking hard, either).
