Need some help. Looking to upgrade the brakes on my 1975 911S Was thinking of Boxster brembo brakes but do not know what to look for in parts.{calipers ,rotors}I have 16x6 front 16x7 rear, Any ideas would be great thanks Glenn.

Hi,
Welcome to the best 911 place on the web. As far as oyur question before we can give you a meaningful answer, what is your intended outcome of the brake upgrade? Track use? Lots of Bling? Current setup overheats onthe street? etc. To give you an idea of some of the issues, check this thread: Porsche 911 Brake Upgrade Question. Also, consider that stock Porsche brakes are already very capable. I have the "wimpiest" brakes on a Porsche (1973 "M" Calipers) yet have no problems at Autocross nor as a novice at DE in having sufficient brakes to stop/slow down when I need to.

Thanks Harry read the thread Would like to some day use the car for novice DE. now just twisty roads to cottage. Porsche needs new brakes and rotors and lines so thought this would be good time to upgrade. The stopping feel of the car is a bit lacking. Just replaced tires with toyo t1r. Grip is great stopping so so thanks

If it was me (I am a Cheep SOB), I would get new stock rotors and a mild race pad (I am using Mintex's per Steve Weiner). I would ge tthe calipers rebuilt as well. Use a good quality brake fluid (ATE Blue or 200) and you should be good to go.
If you have not considered Autocross, you should. It will give you some skills when your car is at 11/10ths. Where are you located? Please add your location to your profile. It will help us provide local recommendations etc.

Ubove advise is great. Rebuild what you have, upgrade pads, and tires. Lighten the car a bit and maybe some suspension goodies. You'll find that you have more brakes than you need.

You will find that if you get your current brake system into top condition and use good pads you'll have better brakes than you've felt on any other car. 911 brakes are truly excellent even in stock form.
