rear deck lid
Hello,
I am a new owner of an old 911SC83 widebody (9' and 11''). I received the car with a normal rear deck lid (but with scratch on the down left part) In the shop, I have seen another deck lid with a special wing on it (thin wing with 2 grids on it) it look really special, so OK I did take it also. At home, the second deck lid (with the wing) is full of rust!! As I like the wing, I would like repair it. So I need at least one normal rear deck lid. I am currently in Germany, I asked the nearest small Porsche garage (near Stuttgart) he told me 1200DM for a new lid and 800DM for a spare one. Ouch. As I have seen here, you can have a new fiberglass duck wing for 300USD. So the question is : Is normal rear desk lid (no wing) existing in Fiberglass? Where is it possible to get one? Thanks in advance, Philippe |

I have seen cheaper prices, but my buddies that race insist on gt-racing, so there parts must be pretty good.

I also hear MAShaw, www.mashaw.com, is excellent with much better fit and finish than GT Racing, but couldn't say first hand. MA Shaw doesn't have much of a website, so you'd have to call.
