Post Which is better ? .. power assited brakes or non on a 911

Hello all,

Im adding upgraded the brakes on my 1975 911s im building thats going to be a VERY powerful street/track car ,by adding 930 brake system.

I was wondering which way to go on the brakes
, add a power assisted unit out of a 930,
or just upgrade the stock master cyl to 23mm and go with 'manual' brakes. The car will weight aprox. 2600 -2700 lbs by the time its done.Any input would be appriciated

thanks

Joe

With non-assist you will have better "feel" when close to locking up in competitive driving, but you have to push harder. The 23mm MC is the way to go for competition (what I have in my track car), but you will build up your leg muscle!
