what colour engine compartment
 

what colour is everyone using in the engine compartment. I'm thinking black for ease of detailing. What do you guys think.

Original stock is a matte black with some of the original factory exterior color showing through in spots.

After a certain point, probably early 70's, Porsche started spraying the wheel wells and engine compartment with a light coat or so of the body color, this continued through the 80's at least. To look original it should not have too much color as they really sprayed it lightly. If you're not going for comlete originality, spray it what you think looks best and what's easy to maintain.
