Kudo's for PMCI, Corrales, N.M.

18 months ago I replaced the fuel pump, crank sensors and DME relay in my '85 911.
With 170,000 miles and 25 years, I felt this was a great preventive maintenance move. This along with the normal maintenance.
Well surprise, last Friday night my 911 stalled at a local fast food spot.
I did a little trouble shooting the next morning and found the fuel pump locked up.
Luckily it was close to Russ Kelso's shop in Corrales.
I had it towed to PMCI so Russ could perform his magic.
He replaced the pump and called me to pick it up.
How much?.......... Nothing............ Part of his service.
I bought the Bosch fuel pump and other parts from him, so he stood behind the parts.
First class guy and PMCI is a first class operation.
He gave me the nice new looking Bosch fuel pump, no worky.
My old, dirty 25 year old Bosch pump still works, sitting in the garage.
So much for preventive maintenance.

I agree Doug. I have known Russ since he was working out of his garage many years ago. In all that time all I have ever heard were positive experiences with his services.

Where in Corrales, NM. is Russ's shop? Off Alameda heading into Corrales, or from the Rio Rancho side by the River's Edge development?

Go north into Corrales, left on Meadowlark? Probably just call him.

I had heard of Russ Kelso years ago when I lived in New Mexico, always in a positive context. I finally have had the chance to interact with him directly- he's currently doing a 3.0L conversion on my 70 911T. At first I was a bit apprehensive about my whole project, since the car is in New Mexico with my brother and I am currently living in Okinawa Japan (active duty US Navy officer). I can say that Russ and his crew at PMCI have been GREAT so far- very good communication and they have taken initiative to do lots of little things on the motor and car that I didn't have to ask them to do. I definitely made the right decision to have Russ/PMCI do the conversion- I certainly recommend them. I can't wait to get back to the USA and drive the thing! In summary- PMCI is an honest top notch operation and also very down to earth.
