ready for the autox...ideas?

Well my new gear is here and ready for the weekend.

I look forward to wearing my Pelican BBS shirt and spankin some ass around the Flughplatz at Bitburg! Ha Ha...yeah right!

My question is I need some ideas to mount a camera...need to capture some great footage to post for you all, any ideas?

If you got a harness bar, that would be ideal.

Failing that, some type of contraption attached to the passenger seat may do.

PeErsonally, I do not want any video. What I want is someone to take some video of me so I can see how I made my lines and where I braked. This is more apparent from an outside point of view.

Thanks Harry...
I have someone doing the external camera work, so thats all ready to go. A harness bar would be perfect, but not enough time to get one here for this event...so I am working on ideas.
I have a small 5" tripod that I can secure the camera with...just need to figure out where and what with.

Perhaps the 1002nd use of duct tape, "Hold camera in passenger seat"?

duct tape....hmmmm

Well I went with electrical ties....5" tripod (folded) and with this I made a dash mounted camera. Removed the speaker cover and secured the flat tripod to the cover with the electrical ties...then placed the cover back in the dash. Hold well and should give a nice shot down over the hood, the only thing is a very small section of my wiper is in the shot but I can live with that.

You can get suction mounts that fit to flat surfaces (glass, bodywork etc). They hold more weight the more you pay.

Go here and click on 'products'. Then search for the 'Cullman suction mount'.

I am interested to see what class they place me in...I am looking at class C...but the even coordinator has the final word on this one.
