Cool Cam Nut Removal

On an 82 3.0 motor do you need a special tool to remove the Cam nut. I know on the early motors you need the Crow Foot thing. Is this also true on the 3.0.....

82 on, used a bolt, 19mm wrench size, instead of a nut. the holder tool has been changed to a tool with 3 pins that engage holes in the sprocket, instead of holding the cam, like 81 and earlier.
