E-ram ... errr E-turbo

Autoweek, in a short article, mentions Garrett (turbo manufacturer) has this prototype turbocharger that is augmented by an electric motor to spin up the compressor for low speed, no lag boost and cold weather starts. Sound familiar?

Before you rush out to buy one, the article says the company is waiting adoption of an industry-wide standard of 42 volts. The E-turbo makes sense with this kind of source voltage.
