VroomGrrl Takes the Wheel

A friend of mine caught this short clip of me at the end of Saturday's autocross course - FUN! I tried that turn at the far end several different ways, and it worked much better after I lightened up the front by adding some air to my tires. You know me, keepin it simple

from Chuck Schultz on Vimeo.

I need to get a recording of this creepy sound my car started making during this event, and get some feedback. It's a very high-pitched kind of whine, intermittent, and only when the engine us under high revs. One of my more experienced friends noticed it when he drove my car but had no idea what it was either. Mystery! I'll do another post if I can catch a recording.

Way too fast. Slow down!

A high-pitched whine makes me think of the belt and pulleys.

Too fast. Yeah! Uh, I'm working on it!

I really need to get it making that sound again, it's a very high "WEEEE WEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". I know that helps! I need to get her up to temp and get the local Porsche brain trust to lend an eye and ear and see if we can figure it out.

Fan belt? Maybe tighten up one shim & see if noise goes away.
