Pelican Member/ Porsche mechanic

Pelican members, if anyone here local to the Long Island area is in need of any mechanical or restoration assistance Im looking to fill up my winter months by taking on a few jobs. I have 15 years experience with 911/930 cars. If you feel that your current mechanic is not up to the task of properly servicing these special cars and you are looking for someone who will treat the car with the same passion as yourself give me a call I have honest rates and a large inventory of vintage parts on hand.

Hey Kurt, long time no see! Can't believe it was almost 5 years ago you had the gathering I brought a couple cars to. Good luck!

Thanks Gary. Maybe I will have another one in the future. I bought a swimming pool company and the winter months leave me with too much time. There is only so much that a guy can do with his own cars. I turned wrenches for so long and got tired of. Now I miss it.

Hi Kurt,

We met a few years ago at a get together you hosted..I've often thought that you haven't posted here in a long time...

I'm having some problems with the ignition (one coil not firing) in my C2 and would like to discuss it with you. I will give you a ring in the next couple of days.

Best,

Dan

Sure thing Dan. I remember you. Be sure to limit the driving since the downed cylinder is getting fuel washed. Nevermind the catalyist damage that will result.

You must remember the sound of the targa door as it flew open without the stop strap and slammed into my 05 997S (with 400 miles on it) too!

Kurt,

Good to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing. I too was there at the get together with my black 85 M491.

It was a nice day.

Maybe we can get some locals together again this summer.

Regards,
Mike

Kurt,

You're just the person I have been trying to find down here in South Jersey to assist me with my "79" 911 fix-ups. Someone with expert Porsche experience in all facets, someone who takes pride, someone who enjoys working on these incredible cars, and someone who is fairly priced.

Any recommendations for South Jersey? Thanks

Finn
