testing coil?

Does anyone know off the top of their head how to test a coil on an 82 SC?
I've spend a while reading the Bentley, searching threads and I'm running out of time before the rains hit.
Thanks
Steve

Not off the "top",..but my Bentley (for 1989) was good in providing me the resistance values for both primary and secondary of the transformer...yours should, as well.

Best,

Doyle

Got this from Bob at Pelican in case people search this thread later

The coil terminals are numbered 1 (+), 15 (-), and 4 (large center terminal). Resistance should be measured between 1 and 15, value should be 0.4-0.7 Ohms. Between terminals 1 and 4 resistance should be 5.0-8.7 K Ohms.
