Aesthetics opinions please: simple lines or Carrera RS?

Howdy folks,

I am continuously hesitating between the simple pure lines of the pre-73 with no flaring or tail... just the basics.. vs. the Carrera RS look with front bumper and rear ducktail and side decal.

Thoughts?
(I need to persuade my wife too if any changes... she likes the simple pure lines as is )

Thanks,
brd.

Simply beautiful the way they are. Just an opinion.

Stay simple. Plus the RS has been done ad nauseum.

I think it's a pretty sweet looking car as it is.

Great the way it is, low enough, nice little tilt forward and very nicely maintained. Don't touch it. Classic lines!

I think what you've got there is the 911 at its best.

Long wheelbase, minimal trim, and just enough flare on the wheel wells to compliment the lines.

Swb cars are great too, but I think the lwb cars look just a bit sportier.

I think RS and larger flares disrupt the line of the fender from the taillight to the door seam and create a heavier look. Some work, some don't, but not my thing.

Just one opinion obviuosly, but I would leave yours exactly as it is.

Joe

Good point Halm ... and I guess what has me posing the question in the first place is exactly why the RS is ad nauseum.

As for "ain't bust, don't fix" - completely agree. I could let fate decide and that unwanted possibility of ass-first-thu-a-hedge push alternate options.... if....

But in the mean time, I'll just drive as is... historical hill climb tomorrow in St Cesaire (FR)

Thanks,
brd

Looks beautiful as is. I like the white lettering on the front tires too...makes it look more racy!

Cheers,

Make it drive and handle the way it should. If the tires are old, get some nice ones.

Drive it and enjoy it.

If you don't love that car as it is, get one decked out the way you want it, and pass that one on.

Black is an ideal color for showing off the clean, taut lines of the 911. Your car is early 911 nirvana...don't change a thing!

It is not only the car, it is an awesome picture.
Probably staged, but really well done!
