Best deal ever!
I was wanting to change my oil for a lighter weight. I am currently running vr-1 20w-50 and it's getting colder. I went to a local performance shop to buy brad penn 10w-40.
I bought 14 quarts for only $77 with tax!!! Just thought I'd share lol |

+1, love the Rotella. The 15w40 weight is perfect for the different temps in which I drive.

The Rotella also has a high zinc content, higher than Castrol GTX.

Rotella in my 930. Good additive package; diesel oils are designed for pressures/temps other motors just never see.

Shell rotella is not what it used to be. My local machine shop did some testing, he now sells and additive to add the zinc called "cam shield". Brad penn has more zinc than the shell.

If it is sold at Wal Mart it might be cheap chinese Rotella with Zic substitute.

Brad Pen is also a very good oil. Before I bought the Shell Rotella I called Shell to get the specs because they do not put it on the label. Too bad. It was 150ppm higher in zinc than Castrol. 1200 vs 1350 or 1250 vs 1400, I don't have the numbers in front of me. This was about 6 months ago I checked. I also use it in my 66 230SL (MB). Can I mention them here without getting flogged. Same build location so it should be OK.

I use Rotella from Wally-World and add a bottle of GM Engine Oil Supplement to make up some of the missing goodies. still a good deal.
