Unhappy Starting issues

Now I just installed my rebuilt mini-starter motor and now my '89 911 3.2 starts hesitating on the first, second, and third try. It seems to give off a hum of sorts when I turn the key. Now can it be a wiring/battery issue? There is still that metal clicking noise under the dash I get every 7 seconds. When I open my driver door it stops and I also noticed my power mirror isn't working anymore.

Check battery state of charge. Also, the battery cable connections.

From this post and your others (click under the dash), I'd say you've got a wiring problem that's causing a continuous battery drain. At this stage, I'd contact the person who installed the starter and get a thorough, first-hand account of exactly what was done when he "re-wired" the starter. Don't be accusatory, but get a clear, concise explanation with diagram, if necessary. If it was a shop, I'd say they are responsible for your situation as it had not happened until the work was done. Something is draining your battery, causing the "click", and continues to cause other electrical failures. If the installer can't/won't help you, report back any information you get to help us track down the problem.
