Need Help naming this rubber part..

This is on my rear deck on the passenger side, and it covers a plunger switch. I can't find it on the Pelican Parts catalog or searching through the Porsche parts PDF.

The 911 has a Viper alarm installed back in the late 90s, so I'm not sure if it is wired to the alarm or if it is an OEM part.

1988 Carrera

Can anyone help?

That's part of the aftermarket alarm system or a super duper engine light switch.

I recommend that you name it Elmo.

Thanks for the quick reply James.

Now, where to start the search...

pull all that crap alarm stuff out, it really just adds weight. If you need a alarm, the modern interrupters are good and not as evasive. See the active thread on here on new alarms.

I am pretty sure it is a door switch for an interior light from a VW, late nineties vintage.
