Post 83 cab top replacement

goddam Son Of a ***** back window just wont straighten out...I stretch it this way, and that way, and that way....I am 100% convinced that the manufacturer Auto Tops Int'l fu'ked up when they sowed the back window to the canvas....

I've been struggling with this for the past 7 days and I'm gettting to a point where burning down the whole car doesnt seem unreasonable..hahahaha
sorry, i just have to vent cause it's too frustrating..havent driven my "daily driver" 911 in over 7 days and I am PISSED!

thank you

Hmmm...okay, we can deal with this. Actually, I'm in on a break from trying to get a fuel line I tightened untighten so I can screw around with the injectors. Damnit, I must have momentarily become the Hulk when I put that thing back on last time...

This is the next step, and trust me, this will work perfectly.

Remove the covers in the back seats. Below those are the knife like things etc.
Unbolt the 4 bolts on each side (1 10mm and I think 3 13mm). Then do the 3 allen bolts in the back (aren't they fun to put on? you drop one, you gotta take the whole back off, I used super glue on the tip of the allen wrench).
once all that is done, keeping in mind you're going to remove the entire top and bring it into the house.
Of course unlatch it. If you fold the top down, you can remove it yourself, but watch the paint or you might scratch it.
keep in mine there are also 2 10 mm bolts just toward the rear of the knife area...one on each side(Part of the rear panel).
Once it's in the house, you will be able to fix it. You know it's tight enough in the right area.
From the inside of the house, you can prop it up with a few items, and lie down underneath it to figure out how to straighten it. You may need to go after A as well as the part I mentioned.
Since this is mostly done, things will work fine.
I did my top the second time, mostly with it off and in the house.
But I put it on, took it off etc a few times to get the stretching right. Part of the hassle is being cramped in that back seat.
