930 caliper finish (rebuild)

I beginning a brake upgrade to 930 caliper and rotors.
So far I have bought front and rear(modified) calipers, rear rotors and a 23mm master cylinder.

The front calipers looks like almost brand new, and they were bought new in -95.
The rears are a bit sad looking, any good advice how I can clean them up and get a finish close to factory?

Whatever you use to paint them make sure to prime them first with zinc oxyde primer as most high heat caliper paints are not very compatible with aluminium.
I just redid a set of Boxster calipers that turned out pretty good and i used scotchbrite to clean and prepare them before painting .

Original finish is anodized but most have been painted black during a refresh.

Find someone who can soda blast them. I had someone do that and they didn't strip the anodizing. In the end, they just clear coated after stripping down to the factory finish.
Something harsher can just eat through the anodizing.

Soda can be cleaned up with water. Clint from Rebel Racing cleaned up mine and rebuilt the calipers with new seals, etc.

I would say just have all 4 of them powdercoted to whatever color you want... Not that hard, just labor intensive, as you rebuild the calipers since you have them all apart. Here are a few pictures of the 930 calipers that I did for my brother...... This is the correct way to do it..... They have different colors of black, if you want the calipers to look like stock. I posted this so you could get an idea of what it takes to take them all apart, and have them powdercoated. You can Pm me, and I wil lbe happy to andswer any questions you may have....
