Engines out, many questions

Hey guys. Well my mechanic pulled my 3.0L out to rebuild my transmission. Heres what were finding so far.
1. The clutch cable is stretched, needs replaced. Probly what caused the synchros to get damaged?
2. Flywheel has several hairline cracks. Should I replace it?
3. Clutch plate is getting worn. Im gonna replace.
4. several lines needs replaced.
5. I just found that a piece coming from the throttle body is broken off. Looks like its been previously repaired.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1268446053.jpg

Replace the flywheel. Now is the best time.

I think so too. Im looking at a Pidanza flywheel on E-Bay. Has anyone experienced these light weight flywheels?
As for the throttle body, do you think I can have it repaired again?

When doing a clutch, I would replace EVERYTHING (clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel, pilot bearing, etc). Not that it is hard to drop the engine/trans, but it is time consuming. I know because of the P-factor, the parts are not cheap.

As far as the clutch cable.... If the cable was stretched, then the clutch might not have been all the way dis-engaged, causing the syncos to have more pressure on them, causing them to wear faster.

The pic of the throttle body looks like someone's ill fated attempt to cobble something up. Look at the parts diagram from this host site and see if you could match up the parts in the diagram.....

Make sure to check the clutch release yoke carefully for stress cracks.

Thanks guys. I trust my mechanic that hes looking at everything. He pulled the engine and tranny and I picked up the engine to adjust the valves and do some cosmetic stuff while he is rebuilding the tranny. We are talking about replacing the ring/pinion to lower the gear settings, which will give me more torque. I am on a budget but I want everything fixed before we re-install the motor.
I just found a throttle body on E-Bay. Its from a fire car and looks like it needs some serious cleaning. I dont know If I want to risk it yet.
Im finding several bad vacuum lines and oil lines too.
