If anybody has any car detailing questions, please ask away. Winter prep is a good place to start....

Thanks, I am aware of them. I have a different spin on things than them.

Thanks for the info though.

Porsche Crest questions

1.) What would you recommend as a replacement for the "Black Again" and "Somethin' Else" products? Ever since the company changed to a silicone-based formula, I stopped using them, but I loved the old versions.

2.) What would you use to get interior vinyl surfaces really clean, and brought back to life?

3.) Any products/methods for getting the engine compartment and case back to that "new engine" look?

4.) Lastly, is there any magical solution for getting old, brittle window tint off? Thanks.

-Eric

A clay bar will remove paint contaminants, and should probably be done once a year on a daily driver. You can probably get by with once every other year on a garage queen.

No way I know of to get rid of orange peel. Paint with orange peel comes from the factory with orange peel. To the best of my knowledge, it has to be corrected immediately.

Armor All? Anything worse? I'm not sure what Armor All is good for, nothing on a car though. Try some Back to Black.

Patience and practice, neither of which I have. I use Stoner's Invisible Glass (I think its called Invisible Glass, but I know it is made by Stoner's) and a Micro Fiber detail cloth made by 3M. It works pretty well but getting clean streak free glass is not easy.

Take a look at www.carcareonline.com

Where is a step by step guide to waxing and detailing? Believe it or not, I have never waxed a car
