Question 911 Windows Seals without Trim Groove

I have a 1974 Porsche and currently the trim is missing from the side windows and it's painted black for the windshield and rear window. I'm getting ready to replace the dash and I'd prefer to have a cleaner look, no trim groove on any of the window seals. Does anyone know of anybody that sells something like this, similar to what they sell for VW Bugs, "California look" no groove for aluminum molding?

Our host offers a front seal, part#964-541-225-00-M136 that has no groove for trim, it's for a later model car but I believe it will fit--call to double check. Pelican also offers a rear windshield seal without the groove that also may work, part#964-545-225-00-M260.

Be sure to confirm if these will work as they are for 89+ model years. Whatever you do, don't install grooved seals without the metal trim--they will leak. The trim extends the seal into the corners and forces a tight seal.

I was under the impression from others in the forums that the 964 Seal will only work on a 911 if you also use the 964 windshield.
