Thumbs down Motor Meister on eBay

This is probably old news but, MM is trying to sell their engines on eBay... I can't believe they got 100% feedback too! For all of you who hasn't heard about this shop, STAY AWAY! Just a little bit of advice I got from the guy's when I asked about them... Thanks Guy's!

Motor Meister Engines $3K

The feedback makes no sense. They all praise MM for fast payment, WTF? Aren't they supposed to be the buyers? Well, I know it is all fake.

Most recent feedback as a seller is from April 2005, nearly five years ago. Maybe folks are catching on? Maybe not.

You'd think clever pelicanites could pepper this "seller" with questions? Answers may be amusing.

"All our Porsche Remanufactured engines are professionally rebuilt ..." seems to imply that Porsche "remanufactured" them. Seems deceptive (and therefor against eBay rules) to me. I know it's a subtle difference, but "All our Remanufactured Porsche engines are professionally rebuilt ..." is a completely different (and more honest though it doesn't say what the rebuilder's profession is) message IMHO.

. . .
They are telling the truth...
They are getting paid for it so that makes them professionals.

Professional whats is the real question.

Never dealt with them myself, but brothers and sisters of every marque I've ever owned have steered me well clear of their crap. If I had the money, I'd buy their eBay engines just to leave them horrible feedback!

1. Auction "Starts" at $3595.00 and is bids
2. Our auction is for rebuilding "YOUR" Porsche 1978-1983 3.0 motor, if it’s together or all apart does not matter!

"On behalf of the Motor Meister Crew we want to thank our customers for helping us grow after 15 years and now we are able to move to a new larger facility for 2010!

Motor Meister's offices are 4 times larger, a new clean engine building room, chassis dyno, from 2 lifts to 6 lifts and double the square footage inside and two separate yards."

good feedback could be from people buying parts, not engine rebuilds.

i guees MM can build good enough to run 2 minutes in a video, but i wonder how much oil was leaking out at the time.

i guy i meet here sent hie WHOLE CAR out there to have the engine and tranny rebuilt. i talked to him after he got it back. i asked how it was. he said it was great, no problems. but as we talked then it started to come out, uh, i have an oil leak, can you .....

a guy i work with started looking for a 911. he ran into the MM guy, he did not know the history of MM yet. he told me he was looking at a car locally. when i asked him who had the car he told me the MM guys name. so i told him to be carefull. then my friend, the buyer, started telling things that were not right about the car, like the lose the steering wheel/column.
plus the MM guy would not let him drive it even though he was interested in buying it. now i wonder if there were tranny problems. he ened up buying one from someone else, less money and a better car. i feel bad for the MM guy, he must have 20k in that piece of junk.
my friend did tell me the MM car was strong, maybe stornger than the one he just bought, but i think the MM car had a better exhaust. i think the big thing with the MM engine is oil leaks, maybe a rear seal leaking too.

The fact that they are expanding leads me to the conclusion that there really is one born every minute!
Getting the word out about them is important, but don't get you pants in a bunch when someone gets ripped off by them.
You can give out all the advice you want, but it is only helpful when someone takes it.
There are people out there that will always use crooks like this, they are crooked too, they want a quick cheap fix-up on a piece of junk to get it off their hands.
Make it look good, nice loud muffler (for the power effect) and shiny paint to gloss over the bad points of the vehicle.
Oh...and as my brother found out (when he bought a Camero) don't buy a car at night, under a dim street light!!
Bob

Did you look at some of what they bought to get good buyer feedback?

DVDs, tools, manuals etc. I'm betting roy77 is the buyer.

Just inspected a recient MM "rebuild" Rocker shafts were all installed offset to the wrong side of the housing leaving one side unsupported. Most likely the guys first motor job. The rebuilt trans shifts worst than before.
