I had my first flat tire last week.
I was on my way to visit my family in north Louisiana and stopped in Shreveport for lunch, went to get in the car and noticed a very low rear tire.A Goodyear store was a block away, they did not want to repair the flat ! The rim (Fuchs) looked too expensive and they did not want to damage it.They recommended the local Porsche dealer, the dealer does not fix flats ! they recommended a near by Firestone store. The Firestone store took the tire off and I had a nail through the bottom and into the sidewall. I now have new Bridgestone Re730's All this took 4 hours ! The Firestone in Bossier City on East Texas street treated me very well and gave me a good price on the Bridestones.I had B.F. Goodrich Comp TA VR4's and the 730's are a much better tire.I suggest making sure that your spare holds air before you take a trip this summer. |

There is a Goodyear outlet on Linwood Ave. One of the tire techs has a red Targa. He could have changed it. He did a ground up on the Targa. Next time you are coming to town drop me a line. I'd like to meet some of the faces on the board.

A tip...one that took me several flats before the light came on. Other than the needed tire changing tools...carry a pair of cheap gloves, cotton is fine. Then you don't get krud all over your leather steering wheel when you drive away. The gloves don't take up much trunk space...I just tossed mine atop the spare tire..
