does anyone if the serial # of my 69e 119220867 comes close with engine #6290163 thanks, John

Hi there,

Your car is an 1969 model 911E.
The first three digits on the engine number indicate 6 cylinder/911E/1969
They certainly match from date but if you want a real confirmation you can also contact Porsche and they can issue a "certificate of authenticity" while will confirm your matching numbers

Sorry, nowhere close. 119220870 has 6291703. So engine # (1703) is almost double VIN (0870); your (0163) is far too early for (0867). It is remotely possible but highly unlikely. Only a COA can confirm. Correct series though.

Yes, get a COA from Porsche. It is possible that is the original motor.
