Back on board
Back on board as Gduke2010, formerly Gduke.
This spring will be the first spring that all my car really needs is an oil change. It became mine in 2002 when I thought a 3.L conversion in a 1985 would be a simple swap. The conversion meant other things that I hadn't planned on needed upgrading too, eg. oil cooler and front valance. Along with the conversion, I also upgraded the susp. with the Elephant racing bushings and Koni shocks, strut, brace ball joints, turbo tie rods, corner balancing, and etc. I had some bad luck after the clutch was replaced with a Center Force clutch. The mech. didn't replace the fork and it spun of the shaft and had to be replaced again. The top was tweaked and the bow snapped an punctured the top.
Other issues were also, taken care of between the and now. So, after 8 years my 911 cab is finally all dialed in. The only maint. it needs other than an oil change is it has a front hood latch that pulls real hard that I will address when I change the oil and was wondering if the latch is easy to replace. I'm in to preventative maint rather than fixing a disaster.
