OT: WOW!!! DSL rules!!!
Finally upgraded from my LAME 26,400 bps connection to DSL a couple days ago. GEEZ.... I thought I was a Pelican addict BEFORE...
|
I would do it if I could. But unfortunately, dsl isn't available in my area! :(
|
cable modem is the only way to go.....i had DSL & cable modem until my DSL provider went out of business. i was always happier with cable modem.
|
I already have cable but it's @home which is threatened with extinction any day now.
|
My ADSL connect is pretty speedy.
Modem = 56,000 bps ADSL = 768,000 bps There's a bit of a difference. The only problem is having to deal with anything slower. |
I'm jealous. I'm stuck with dialup. There is no DSL service where I live, and although I have digital cable to the home system, there is no cable modem offered at the present time. Arrgh, they keep telling me "soon"!
I guess the good thing is that it keeps me from spending too much time at Jack's site watching in car videos!:( |
I too went from dial-up to DSL....now I never leave the house. Try on line games. You'll really say "WOW".
