O2 sensor relay
 

Does anyone Know if the 84-89 carrera has a oxygen sensor relay PN 821-951-253, and if so where is it located? I'm not referring to the DME relay. Thanks

Suspect it is under the passenger seat. I have an 81 so can;t say for sure on an 84.

That is the correct part number, used from '80-'89.
It is under the pass. seat in the SC, I don't know where it is in the Carrera - anyone?

Does anyone know if my 911 carrera 1989 3.2l has an o2 sensor relay,? And where the hell is it located?please help...

As Bob points out, I see the PET lists 821-951-253-M14 as an O2 sensor relay for 78-89. But I see no reference in Bentley (84-89 -- pages 971-2 through 971-8: Electrical Component Locations) to identify the existence of -- much less the location of -- a separate O2 sensor relay.

Based on the electrical schematic (also from Bentley, 84-89 Carrera) it appears the O2 sensor relay is integral to the DME relay (recall that this is more than just a fuel pump relay):

Can't confirm from my personal experience, but hope this helps. Will you let us know what you find?

the O2 sensor relay was SC, 80-83. under the right seat. the 84-89 carrera DME cars do not have one. the DME does the job itself.
