Gunson Colortune

Yesterday I put my newly rebuilt (by me) webers back on the car and used the information from performanceoriented.com (no association) and the gunson colortune (again no association) to set them up.

I bought the gunson because of the website and I have to say I am impressed.

I cant believe how good the colortune is. Easy to use and the car sounds fantastic, no guess work based on sound and 1/4 turns, and it made it very easy to tune each cylinder individually (cant do that easily by reading the exhaust).

If you are new to tuning webers and you want to do it yourself this is the tool to have.

I havent taken the car out yet, all the fibre washers in the rebuild kit are leaking. I had the same thing before the rebuild and with the Zeniths before that. The way I solved it with the Zeniths was to call Porsche and get the proper aluminium washers. So I will do the same on Tuesday to fix the current issue. Given my terrible experiences with fibre washers (they always leak) I wonder why they are put in carb rebuild kits.
