I Pod Hook up

Just hooked up I Simple TranzIt in my 68 912 Soft Back.
This device seem to be working great. It fits nicely in the
side pocket. Can be purchased at JC Whitney or Best Buy.

Deets

This device has a outlet/ inlet for the antenna, hot and ground.
Once everything is hooked up you can hear your I Pod, I Phone, MP3 player ect.
through your original speakers. No alterations to your Porsche.

fm modulators are pretty decent so long as they are not the wireless type. i took it a step further and installed one of these with my aftermarket headunit.

LiquidAUX™ Deluxe for iPhone and iPod - K33430US - Kensington

it is a dock, charger, line-out converter that only uses the bottom connection on the ipod/iphone for a nice clean look and it comes with it's own remote with basic controls (play, pause, next, rewind). here it is installed in my center console.

It is said that the best sound repro is from the connection to the Apple-inspired connector on the bottom. Ebay sellers carry a bevy of iPOD-to-head unit adapters. The best ones, IMHO, are the ones that connect the aforementioned jack and plug into the head unit RCA jacks while also providing DC charging voltage to the iPOD. Check and see if there are DIN iPOD adapters as well. However, one needs an iPOD-compatible head unit to display iPOD menus and music data.

I have been looking at this one that works with the Becker CDR 210 and others:

i use a belkin radio transmitter which plugs into the end of the ipod. Some say the quality is not good but I have had no problems. I power it through the cigarette lighter and need no screws in the dash etc
