A few observations from todays Autocross
We had a great Intermountain region Autocross today, and I made a few observations on some recent upgrades I have done on mu SC. First, the Mocal (radiator style) oil cooler, with a 6.5" Spal fan is a great upgrade over the factory tube style cooler. It was 95 plus here today, and with the fan on, the car never ran over 200 deg (even at idle on the grid). Under load, the car never got above 185! Second, I was able to weigh the car on the club scales andthe car came in at 2530 lbs! It also came in at only 12 lbs off of perfect right to left balance with me in the car. Third, racing seats and 6 pt harness set up is great for these types of events. It keeps you planted in the seat, and gives you the chance to think more about where to put the car, and less about holding on for dear life.
Just some things I thought about passing on,
Paul
