Fog lights for early 911s that mount in horn grill

Can someone tell me the proper size/diameter (width and depth) of the stock round fog lights that mount through the horn grill. Also where can one buy an aftermarker set...if at all available. I'm sure originals are well over my price range.
Lastly, can someone post a few close-ups of theirs and maybe place a ruler in front for size comparison.
Vr,

Thanks. I was reading the old links and there doesn't seem to be an after market copy. Most of the hella fog lights on ebay are for Merc/bmw and older 356s.
Any one know of a source?
Thanks,

Baravia911:

I have the Hella118 on my 70S. They are rouglly 5.25 inches in diameter (Lense is roughly 4.75" diameter), and they are approximately 2.5 inches deep. On an earlier post from someone, Cibie Tango were stated to be a good substitute for the Hella. We'll now see if I can successfully add a front view photo of my installation.

Cibie Tango 40s are almost identical. Plus they have modern optics and can be bought in pencil, spot and fog beam patterns.

Here are my homemade versions.

Tell me about early 911 fog lights

Vr,
A cheaper alternative is to find a really nice pair of the 914 fog lights. US 914 lights were identical to the US 911 fog lights except the cases were painted black instead of chromed. The lenses I believe are still available new. I still have one or two pairs that I bought several years ago.

Only thing is those lights are tungsten instead of halogen. If you are looking for driving lights, that's a different matter. The 914 driving lights are occasionally seen but far more rare. Same as the 911 118 but, again painted black instead of chrome.
