if 1 911 is good....

2 is better.

i am now the proud owner of a 1977 911s coupe purchased from the original owner with 206,000 miles.

i will be converted it into a track car and will put my 74 targa back into street trim for daily driving duty. initially i plan on removing all of the easy weight and installing the 2.9 engine out of my 74 that i just had built last year. i will be looking for a street motor for my 74 but not a top priority since my next track event is in january.

aesthetically, i am trying to decide between back dating the body to a 73 rs or rsr look or building a narrow body iroc look with 9" flares in the back. i always have loved the early cars.

the project has finally got me to build a site and i plan on documenting the transition of a plain jane 77 in to what i hope will be a track monster!

check out my new site:

http://www.zenmarblegarden.com/motorsports

there is not a whole lot of content but give it time.

i can't wait to get started!

Jim,

Way cool!

The nagging question is ......what is a zen marble garden?

Jim,

I would recommend the IROC/RS 3.0 look, since that is easier, and quite nice in its' own realm! The flares for 2.8 RSR, Turbo-look, and IROC are all the same, with the IROC having the 'cleanest' appearance of the bumper cars, and the least extra work converting from a post-73 car.
