Not recommended to run Swepco in G50's, only 915 boxes.

My 901 shifts better cold when the oil is thickest. Car wants to move before gear engagement is usually a clutch needing to be adjusted. Of course I'm talking 901/915. The G50, I'm not sure what it's characteristics are in comparison. I run Kendall aircraft gear oil.

It's turned pretty cold in Northeast Ohio and the 911 has been cold soaking for about a week. Changed the gear oil to Mobil 1 a week ago. Went to take it for a spin this morning but couldn't get the car into gear, either reverse or first gear. When trying to get into reverse the car moves slightly backward. I read somewhere in the forum that this was an indication of an issue. Worn clutch slave perhaps?
Which Mobil1? There are many variants.

For G-50's, try starting the car with the clutch depressed. Do not release until you have it in gear.

If it doesn't want to go into 1st or 2nd, try 3rd for an instant then go down to 2nd then to 1st. Do NOT force it.

Sorry for hijacking the topic of the thread but;

I have read that before. What does that mean if it will still not shift smoothly.

My dilemma is if I start my car with the clutch disengaged and in gear my car moves for a split second. Also, If I do not double clutch when down shifting my car has difficulty. There's a delay in disengagement when depressing the pedal and I've been told my input shaft needs to be lubricated and is sticky.
