Porsche Corral at Porsche 250/Conti/Indy Grand Prix - Barber
We had the most stunningly perfect weather for the three days of Grand Am, Continental, and Indy car racing! I cannot think of anyplace I'd rather have been than beautiful Barber Motorsports Park, surrounded by Porsches and The People Who Love Them (along with about 50000 other various cars
 ). I didn't spend much time up in the PCA car corral, but we had 110 spaces, and they were packed out all three days with byoooootiful 911s in many of her variations (did not see a single 356), along with Boxsters, Caymans, Cayennes, and yes...Panameras! View of the Porsche Pavilion (flag on each corner) overlooking turn 14, taken from the car corral on the hill across the street:  I'm serving on the AL PCA board this year, so I spent most of my time "working" in our pavilion. I guess it's Porsche's title sponsorship that landed us this primo hospitality area, the only marque-exclusive space with a trackside view from what I was told - with the Porsche corral just across the street. Speaking of which! Around the corral       We had Hurley Haywood visit Saturday, and Bobby Rahal on Sunday.   Whew. Back to the real world in the morning. I enjoyed spending 3 days in a row driving my 911! Must do that more often.....

I was at the Billys sports bar for most of the day. right next to the porsche tent. There were some beautiful cars in the corral. I wish i had brought my 911
|

Make Bruins Great Again

It was a great weekend. I wished I had thought to ask who you were so I could introduce myself.
  I took tons of race shots but here's Kanaan lifting a wheel in turn 2 during the race, an Indy Lites spin at our corner, and a Prototype spin in turn 3.
