911 SC brake problem!

I have an 83 911sc which always locks up the front right wheel under heavy braking. I cannot get both fronts to lock up together.
I have tried:
checking that the pistons are free in the calipers.
renewed the front pads
swapped the front wheels side to side.
checked the front corner weights are about equal.
It beats me, so any ideas as to what might be causing this imbalance in the braking would be welcome!!

Tire pressures or tire condtion.

Were you in the car for the corner-weighting?

Replace the flexible brake lines, they get clogged over time.

My wife was in the car + extra ballast to make up to my weight for corner weighting. tyres both good with equal wear.

Never thought that the flexibles could cause this problem. will change them tomorrow and see if it does the trick.

I'd bet the farm on it! Replace the rears also.

The only thing that has ever caused that in my SC is corner balance. I know you said you had the front's checked, but if you have any doubts, you can search for "tripod method" here and us that to check your balance front and rear (within an hour or so) for peace of mind.

I had a problem similar to yours and it was the left caliper not engaging as quickly as the right. At first I thought it was the right caliper that had problems because it would pull to the right; however it was opposite of what I had thought. Maybe they both work but are not working as efficiently as one another. Just a thought.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Tried the "tripod method" as recommended by Martin Smith to adjust the ride heights on the front end, corrected an imbalance, and it has done the trick. Now braking correctley!!
