I didnt feel confortable either with the stands extended all the way up, so I cut a rail road tie into 2 foot sections nailed one by two stops on front and rear of each 2 foot sections for stops when the car was all the way up in the air i had zero problems, i placed a jack on the motor and trans lowered them both a little at a time then let the tranny down all the way then the motor, it rolled out from under the car on the jack, Kevin
