Pelican Parts Forums - Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Paul, I am not new to Pelican, but this is my over due post.
This board is also my first experience with an on-line community.
Let me say this first, all of you have been great resource for me in both the technical aspects of my car, and the opinions expressed on this site.

I have owned my 1989 Carrera for 13 years. I brought it from a German mechanic/farmer up in northern California around Yuba city. He was selling three Porsche's to buy new tractors for his farm. Not knowing anything about Porsches when I brought it, I chose this one because it had all the bells and whistles. The other two cars where in great shape, but after reading the posts here on Pelican, I now know that the other cars were well worth buying.

After reading several posts I have learned all the mistakes I have made with my car and am working to make it better.

Enough about me and more about my car.
its is a 1989 Carrera, not a 964. It has 240,000 miles, and it runs great.
Seriously, this car has been the best car I have every owned. I am the third owner. It has the stock 3.2 L engine. I have never had the engine apart, but it had the values adjusted and oil changes among other repairs.

Modification: 930 steel body kit done buy a Porsche body shop in Los Angeles, J8 Fuchs in the front, J9 in the rear, Turbo tail, Sport seats, Momo steering wheel and shift nob.
The color of my car is Taubenblau metallic, with tan interior.
