First Track Experience
 

So I had my first track experience yesterday. Over lunch at a DE event the local PCA set up a "parade lap" for any car that wanted to get out on the track. There was a panamera pace car setting a moderate speed for the lineup cars. GT3RS, 993 Turbo, 993 RUF, a viper, couple of corvettes, even a lady in a jeep liberty?? Anyway, I was late and missed the pace car. They let me on the track with the group a half lap behind. Here I was with my 84 3.2 mostly stock, targa top off, no helmet, and a completely open road track in front of me. What a Rush!! With it being the first time on a track and no helmet, I never got the car over 85, but just being able to take it to redline through the gears, and hit the brakes hard and find out what these cars were made for really opened my eyes. For 26 year old car this thing was a blast!

Good job! Ive been out to track events on and off the last 5 years and its a blast.Most importantly though is getting some good instructor time to show you the ropes.Modify your ride slowly no need to spend a bunch of funds untill you get some quality seat time. Have fun Chuck
